Every project is unique — and so is its pricing. You can choose between two flexible pricing options:
Hourly Rate — R110/hour
Ideal for ongoing work or smaller projects.
- Includes detailed minutes reporting so you always know exactly what you’re paying for.
- Ensures full transparency and peace of mind.
Milestone-Based Pricing
Perfect for larger or more structured projects.
- Upfront quotes are provided for each milestone before work begins.
- The project is divided into clear milestones, each focusing on specific features or deliverables.
Typical Monthly / Ongoing Costs
Development pricing covers the work required to build your solution. Some projects may also need monthly or yearly services to keep everything online, secure, licensed, and running smoothly.
These costs are separate from development fees and will always be discussed upfront, so you know what to expect before committing.
Essentials
- Basic hosting: ± R80 – R250/month
- Domain registration: ± R100 – R250/year
- Business email: ± R50 – R150/month per mailbox
Advanced Needs

Support & Tools
- APIs / external services: Based on provider usage fees
- Automation platforms: Based on provider pricing

Note: These are estimated ranges only. Final pricing depends on the provider, project requirements, storage, traffic, integrations, licensing, and features needed.
Software Licensing & Files
For custom software, scripts, automation tools, and Windows .exe applications, pricing covers the agreed development work and delivery of the finished solution. Code signing, installer setup, multi-device deployment, or advanced packaging can be quoted separately if required.
Finished Software
Clients receive the completed file, tool, website, script, or application for the agreed business use.
Source Files
Editable source files, raw project files, or development files are not included by default unless specifically quoted.
Resale Rights
Reselling, redistributing, copying, or modifying software for resale requires a separate written agreement.
If full ownership, source files, or extended licensing rights are needed, these can be discussed and quoted separately before development begins.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there additional costs?
+
Yes, some projects may require extra services such as hosting, domains, business email, premium plugins, APIs, software licenses, or third-party tools. These are separate from development fees and will always be discussed upfront before being added to your quote.
Why don’t you list fixed prices?
+
Each project is different — from simple scripts to full integrations — so pricing depends on the scope, complexity, and requirements. This ensures you only pay for what you actually need.
How do I know how much time is being spent on my project?
+
For hourly billing, you’ll receive detailed minutes reporting, showing exactly what was done and how long each task took. Transparency is key — no hidden work or vague estimates.
When should I choose hourly vs. milestone pricing?
+
Choose hourly for ongoing work, smaller tasks, or maintenance.
Choose milestone-based for larger projects with defined goals or deliverables where you prefer to know costs upfront.
Can I switch from hourly to milestone pricing (or vice versa)?
+
Yes — you can switch methods if your project scope changes. We’ll discuss it and adjust the plan to best suit your needs.
How do payments work?
+
Hourly projects: Billed based on actual time logged (R110/hour).
Milestone projects: A deposit may be required, with payment due after each completed milestone.
Do you offer refunds?
+
Refunds aren’t typically offered for completed work, but satisfaction is a top priority — if something doesn’t meet expectations, I’ll work with you to resolve it fairly.
Do I own the software or .exe file after payment?
+
After payment, you receive the completed software, script, tool, or .exe application for the agreed business use. Editable source files, raw project files, resale rights, code signing certificates, or full ownership transfer are not included by default unless specifically quoted.
Do Windows .exe apps need code signing?
+
Code signing is optional but recommended for Windows .exe applications, especially if the app will be shared across multiple computers or installed by staff. Code signing helps verify the publisher and reduce Windows security warnings. Code signing certificates, installer setup, and deployment support are quoted separately if required.
How do I get a quote?
+
Simply fill out one of the service forms on the Services page, describe your project, and I’ll send a tailored quote or an estimated time frame.
